Pygmy goats originated in Africa and made their way as pets in American homes during the 1950’s. These goats are very popular today as pets for children and are a common member of petting zoos all over the world. Their milk contains about 6% more butterfat than any other goat milk.

Our young goats joined the Sanctuary in 2024 from other herds in Cornwall and are called Cookie, Cappuccino, Gaverne & Sennen.

Our new walk through goat enclosure enables you to get up close to them and hand feed them, which they love.
