Finlay Barrass a Year 6 pupil at Feniton C of E Primary School achieved his Torbay & Devon Civic Award in 2019/2020. This involved achieving various activities which included, an active and non-active hobby, active citizenship in school and the local community, a residential and supporting a charity. For each activity he had to produce a record of evidence that was then assessed by a moderator.

Finlay chose to support the Screech Owl Sanctuary and did a sponsored walk of the Goss Moor Trail

and a Guess the Name of the Owl competition. He also prepared a presentation about the history and work of the Sanctuary. Finlay raised £255 for the Sanctuary.

Finlay has worked incredible hard to achieve his Civic Award especially due to the difficulties surrounding COVID-19 this year. A massive thank you to him from all at the Sanctuary.
