This poor little tawny owlet was admitted a couple of days ago after having been cut free from a barbed wire fence! The poor little blight had to visit our expert vet Chris Gardner at St Clement Vets Truro to have the remaining barbed wire cut out from his/her body yesterday. He/she is doing very well & should make a full recovery following a short course of antibiotics and be released back to its former location at Leedstown.
The little tawny baby that was admitted last week with barbed wire trapped in it’s leg is doing really well & now making friends as you can see! He/she has finished her medication & has moved in with our other wild babies. As you can see he/she (on the right) is perching & using the leg just fine & should make a full recovery and be released back to the former location when ready.
