Pygmy Goats
Pygmy goats originated in Africa and made their way as pets in American homes during the 1950’s. These goats are very popular today as pets for children and are a common member of petting zoos all over the world. They are about 20 to 25 inches tall and weigh about 50 to 60 pounds. Their milk contains about 6% more butterfat than any other goat milk.
Billy and Casper were born in March 2011 and came to us as cute little babies of 6 weeks old. We call them the naughty boys as they are both quite cheeky. Billy likes to dance on his hind legs for tit bits of food, and Casper prefers to play butt the keeper, and he is really good at that. They have a lovely house with a ramp up to their top window, and platforms where you can see them playing.
